Lepers were considered unclean so everyone kept their distance from them. 10 cry out to Jesus for help (mercy is help undeserved.) He does not directly answer their plea. Instead, he tells them to go to the religious leaders to be pronounced as clean again (no disease.) When, in faith, they went, they were healed. One thanked Jesus. The others did not. Thankfulness should be a Christian lifestyle; thankfulness to others and to God. I do not make me well (whole.) God does.
Religious leaders quiz Jesus about when God will come and usher in His Kingdom. Jesus says not to be so dependent on seeing with your eyes God's Kingdom. The Kingdom is seen in the heart through the eyes of faith. Jesus tells his disciples that all sorts of people will claim the see (with eyes) God's arrival in the events of the day, especially natural wonders and disasters. The true arrival of God will be days for suffering (and triumph) for the sake of God by Jesus and by ordinary people. Any time a life is surrendered to God, the Kingdom appears at that moment. The Kingdom is dependent on faithfulness and not the clock or force.
