1 Corinthians 3
Paul sees the Corinthians as new believers (infants.) They are still too worldly for much more. They are too worried about whom to follow. Paul says only follow Christ. All others should be working towards the same goal, following Christ. Factions are a sign that people are not following Jesus. All leaders are necessary if they lead a person into a deeper relationship with Jesus.
Build you life on Christ and not earthly pleasures or prejudices. They will let you down. Better to be "foolish" and follow Christ than to be "smart" and follow yourself or an earthly leader.
