1 Corinthians 2

Paul reminds the Corinthians that first hand testimony about God trumps clever thoughts. Christ crucified makes a difference in life. It is powerful beyond a speaker's ability to persuade. True wisdom comes from God and it will show forth in power. God's Spirit is the source of all wisdom. Foolish people reject God and God's wisdom. Paul knows this church has those teaching "wise" things and leading people astray because the wisdom does not come from God.
